Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center
Free and fascinating history of the geology, land, people, and animals that make up the remarkable Garden of the Gods. The Garden of the Gods is a city park, free to the public, that can be enjoyed 365 days per year.
The Manitou Incline
Adjacent to the Cog Railway base station, and just at the edge of town, hike the mile high staircase along the side of Pikes Peak for a challenging workout and world class views of the area. Before you go, reserve your spot (free).
The Air Force Academy Planetarium
The Air Force Academy offers a gorgeous campus filled with history and activities, all free to the public. The planetarium seats 110 individuals and offers a full-dome, IMAX experience with many different shows each week.
North Cheyenne Mountain Canyon
Take beautiful hikes to views and waterfalls. Bike the trails of the park. Visit the two visitor centers: Starsmore Visitor Center at the base of North Cheyenne Mountain Canyon, and Helen Hunt Visitor Center near Helen Hunt Falls. Drive down Gold Camp Road through old tunnels for a different look at the mountains of Colorado Springs.
Manitou Mineral Springs
There are eight natural springs around town in Manitou Springs, each with a slightly different flavor (literally and figuratively). Wander around to see if you can find them all!
Rock Ledge Ranch
Adjacent to Garden of the Gods, this ranch is a historic settlement with animals and a working farm. Walk the grounds during your visit to the Garden of the Gods. (From June to August, experience Rock Ledge Ranch’s summer living history program for a small fee.)
